Mingus | December 9, 2003 10:26 PMI loves tarkovski but some scenes in that movie, such as that highway drive near the beginning coulda used some serious editing.
And yet i am a fan of the candle scene from Nostalgia, so sometimes it works:

I come across three references to the original Solaris in three days?.... Methinks 'tis a sign that its time to rent again(and FF through aforementioned driving scene).
Viewed "Woman in the Dunes" last night, for the first time. Shifting sand becomes sexy.

You missed Clooney's bared buttocks, but have chosen wisely for the Tarkovski. The remake really was an artificially tasting Solaris light, with philophical discussions cut back to one-liners.
