I always feel as if I am "rescuing" books from those horrible tables of remaindered books, which are often full of third rate classics such as Bram Stoker's Dracula and Anthony Trollope's B-sides, printed on crap pulp that's already turning yellow. But occasionally you'll find a $9.95 surprise such as Cabinets of Curiosities which I brought home the other day, and which led me to find the following pages on the interweb:
• Automata Gallery, mostly antique
• Contemporary Automata
• David C. Roy's Kinetic Sculptures.
•
Mr. Wilson's Cabinet Of Wonder by Lawrence Weschler.

Yay for 'rare finds'. When I was a child I often wondered why my Dad spent so long in book shops, book stalls, fetes... wherever. These days I'm shoving him out of the road.
